Description
UNI-ARAB was founded in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., in the late 1970s and started, as UNI-ARAB ENGINEERING AND OILFIELD SERVICES, to meet the growing demand of the major national oil, gas and petrochemical industries. Services initially offered included manufacturer representation, trading and equipment supplies.
In 1980, the Management identified the opportunity to become the first U.A.E. and Middle Eastern company to enter the area of lucrative specialized oilfield services. This led to the establishment of a Well Stimulation and Pumping Division as well as Well Testing and Filtration Services for producer and injector wells.
Currently UNI-ARAB operates a significant fleet of coiled tubing and pumping equipment in the U.A.E and surrounding countries, and has been very successful in targeting marginal and non obvious markets where multi-nationals have difficulty operating.
Capitalizing on the large pool of experts in the region with knowledge of the Oil & Gas Well Industry, UNI-ARAB established a Downhole tools and Completion Division. A successful and profitable Rental Tool Division was also established in the mid 1990's and has been a key player in the Gulf states and North Africa.
Early recongnition of the current upsurge of activities in the exploration and development drilling industry led UNI-ARAB to align itself with leading companies in the maintenance and rehabilitation of current aging fleets in the region; as well as establishing a complete Drilling, Workover EPC and Sales Department, and have signed contracts since then. UNI-ARAB has been a key player in the region in manning and operating drilling and work over rigs. Over the past seventeen years the company has grown in the fields of corrosion protection and repair field through its UNI-COAT Division using the composite coating technology in association with leading international coating manufacturers. UNI-ARAB have a well established Total Pipeline Integrity Division and Tank Cleaning and Sludge Division, and currently hold contracts with the major oil operating companies in the region.
